The Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Province of Our Lady of the Mount, found their first home in 1886 in British India, in the shelter of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Mount, Bandra. Later, when the Delegation became a Vice - Province and then a Province in 1910, it was called the 'Province of Our Lady of the Mount'

We hope and desire that the cherished memories of the past and the dedicated lives of prayer and deep union with God of so many sisters, who remained faithful to the Charism of HOSPITALITY, serving the most needy at all times, may continue inspire and light a spark in every heart.

Responding to the unmet needs in our church and society, we serve in education, healthcare, pastoral work, social work, spiritual care and faith development, and in other ministries that respond to spiritual, social and physical needs.
