Assisi Bhavan, located within St. Joseph Convent, Goregaon East, Mumbai, is a faith-based home for elderly women, established in 1973. Managed by the Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters, it provides a peaceful, caring and supportive environment where the elderly can live with dignity and security. The home offers personal care, medical assistance, recreational activities and opportunities for prayer and spiritual nourishment. The sisters accompany the residents with love, compassion and attentive care, seeking to meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Through this ministry, the sisters strive to create a family-like atmosphere where every elderly woman feels valued, respected and loved, experiencing the compassionate and consoling presence of Christ in the later years of her life.

HAVEN FOR THE ELDERLY – Tanay, Philippines
The Haven for the Elderly in Barangay Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal, is a residential care facility managed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), providing care and support to abandoned, neglected and unattached older persons aged 60 and above. The Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters serve at the Haven as volunteers, offering compassionate care, companionship and spiritual support to the elderly, especially those who are sick, lonely or vulnerable. Through prayer, faith-sharing and their loving presence, the sisters help the residents experience God’s love and consolation. A significant part of their ministry is accompanying those nearing the end of life, offering prayer and a peaceful presence as they entrust themselves to God. Through this ministry, the sisters seek to bring compassion, dignity, hope and the consoling presence of Christ to the elderly entrusted to their care.
